11 June 2027 — Folwark Poganty. Three days in Masuria — a bonfire, a wedding, and the morning after.
About us
We met on a rainy Tuesday and have been arguing about whose umbrella it was ever since.
Now we're making it official — deep in the Masurian lake district, and we want you there for all of it.
The weekend
This is not a one-evening affair — we have the whole place from Thursday to Saturday, and you're invited to all of it.
Come as you are. We'll grill, sit by the fire and catch up before the big day.
Not mandatory — but it would be lovely to have you around for one more day.
A Polish wedding, explained
For our guests from abroad: a Polish wedding is not a four-hour dinner. It's a marathon. A short glossary so you know what you're signing up for:
The ceremony itself. Short, solemn, tears optional. Ours starts at 4 pm on Friday.
The reception — an all-night party until 4–5 am. Hot meals keep arriving every few hours, the dance floor never really empties, and toasts are frequent. Pace yourself; the food will keep coming.
Midnight games and traditions — historically the moment the bride 'joined the married women'. Today: the bouquet toss, party games, and the point of the night where things get properly silly.
Literally 'the do-over'. The day after, everyone regroups for food and hair of the dog. Slower, softer, very fun. Ours is a breakfast-and-brunch until 5 pm on Saturday.

poganty.com ↗A restored farmstead in Masuria, among forests and lakes. Ceremony, party and beds all in one place — no driving between locations. Fair warning: it is properly secluded, the nearest shop and restaurant are a drive away.
Stay & travel
On Friday night everyone sleeps at the venue — we've booked the whole place, so every guest has a bed, on us. You can also arrive on Thursday and/or stay Saturday night; mark your nights in the RSVP form. Prefer a hotel? We recommend St. Bruno in Giżycko, about 20 minutes away.
Friday night is included for everyone. Thursday and Saturday nights are optional — mark them in the RSVP form.
A castle hotel in town, ~20 min by car from the venue. Shops and restaurants nearby.
- —By car (recommended): ~3.5 h via the S61. The venue is remote — having a car makes the whole weekend easier. Free parking on site.
- —By train: Warszawa Centralna → Giżycko, ~4 h. From the station it's a ~15-minute taxi to Poganty.
- —By bus: FlixBus runs Warsaw → Giżycko daily in summer.
- —Flying in from abroad? Land at Warsaw Chopin (WAW), stay the night, head up to Masuria the next day.
FAQ
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal. The party is in a barn and partly outdoors on grass — plan shoes accordingly.
Can I bring my children?
Yes! Kids are very welcome. Just count them in the RSVP form so the caterer can plan kids' meals.
What about gifts?
Your presence is the present. If you insist: instead of flowers, a book with a dedication; instead of a gift, a contribution to our honeymoon fund.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We are having an unplugged ceremony — our photographer will catch everything. Afterwards, snap away.
Do I have to come to the cookout and poprawiny?
No — Friday is the only must. But the weekend is much better with you in it.
